In the event the reconsideration is unsuccessful, the £100.00 will not be refunded. If however after reconsideration your application is successful the UK Border Agency will be retain £80.00 in order to pay for the citizenship ceremony and £20.00 will be refunded.

If an individual already holds indefinite leave to remain or will apply before the rules regarding naturalisation change, the individual will be able to continue with their application for naturalisation under the current rules until July 2013.
